Cunina is a Belgian, international non-governmental development organization. With an aim to improve access to and the quality of primary and secondary education in six partner countries (Brazil, the Philippines, Haiti, Nepal, Uganda and South Africa), irrespective of political, religious and social beliefs.
Cunina helps underprivileged children go to school through personal sponsorships.
Cunina strongly believes that education is the key to a better future. Anyone who has access to education, can learn a profession. This means just as much as escaping the vicious circle of poverty. Cunina values access to and the quality of education. Education is necessary for individual and social development and leads to sustainable development.
Cunina partnered with Adullam Model school to enhance education development and quality education through individual child sponsorship in January 2014 Cunina started with five active children in our school in May 2014 the children were increased to 10. At the beginning of 2015 they increased to 62 and in May 2015 they came to 115 in 2016 the number increased to 175 and in currently Cunina supports 200 children in total with school requirements and fees.
Cunina has also constructed a better accommodation for the boys with better toilet and bathroom facilities.
Construction of a skill Centre equipped with sewing machines to train children basic sewing skills .
Other projects realized are;
- Clean cost less water provision
- Renovation of the girls dormitory
