Our office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday throughout the year. You are welcome to register your child at any time during these days.

Adullam Model Primary school is a private, mixed day and boarding school that was established in 2008 under the foundation base of Guma Na Yesu Community Church at Guma Na Yesu Hill, Block 1 Kashari Road, Makenke opposite MTN Regional Switch, Mbarara above the Miltary Barracks.

The school is fully registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports under Registration Number 250826.

Adullam Model Primary School is a far focused vision with a target of offering quality education to least privileged children in Mbarara and the surrounding areas. An all modern school experience

Adullam - a modern school experience

Apart from the 4 academic subjects taught in Uganda, there are other vocational subjects/skills that Adullam Model Primary School teaches the children in order to prepare them for the future. These are;

Art and Crafts
The teachers harness the local environment and use the available materials to engage the children in basketry, making ornaments like necklaces, modelling, drawing, painting and many more

Tailoring
Tailoring involves needle work where learners use their hands and sewing machines in our skill centre to draft different patterns depending on what item is to be made. They learn to make dresses, aprons, skirts, petty coats, sweaters and many others.

Apart from sewing or mending their clothes, they gain knowledge of how to be self reliant.
These skills prepare children to future entrepreneurs as they are income generating skills.

Washrooms are meant to be places of convenience for everyone who visits them. The colorful washrooms at Adullam Model Primary School result in a creative and inviting washroom environment that the younger children will be happy to use.

Our cleaners do a great job by cleaning them regularly as a full time job keeping them hygienic. Disinfectants such as dettol-liquid, harpic, jik, powder soap, hand gel etc are provided with constant clean running water to ensure that the toilets are kept clean and free from any infections.

Furthermore the children are taught how to use the washrooms and to maintain their cleanliness. There are separate washrooms for the different sexes. We have designated male and female washroom. It should be noted that the pupils have their own toilets, separate from all the other staff and visitors.

As administration we nurture a child’s personal growth by providing a friendly and supportive environment.

Our vision being that our commitment to serve has no bounds, we labour to facilitate quality education and civilization without reservation.

Ever Wondered what our School name Adullam Means?

Ever wondered what the name Adullam truly means ?
The name Adullam means refuge, but the cave wasn't to be David's refuge. God wanted to be David's refuge in this discouraging time.
Most archaeologists believe that the Cave of Adullam was not too far from the place where David defeated Goliath, in the hills of Judah.
 
Wanting things to come to you as you want is possible but that's not the way of God. You choose to believe God to the end. How do you fear joining an army or you leave an army today and Tomorrow you are told they have taken over the Land.
 
That can be the most hurting thing so you are either the hero or the witness who will talk about how men took over land
It's the cave of Adullam where men of that kind are made.
At Adullam we have continued to instill hope in the lives of the most hopeless children.
Children from all walks of life and mostly the vulnerable. We have built this through offering a safe a environment conducive for the to concentrate and acquire Quality Education so as to be able to create their own future.
 
Over 800+ children have benefited from this project and the difference they make in our word will create a better tomorrow. Thanks to Cunina about 400 of these shall have a free chance to access education at free cost every year😊. What a joy ✌🏿.

KITCHEN

Kitchen
 

The school has a well equipped kitchen, manned by well trained staff that serves breakfast and lunch meals to the pupils.

The School Kitchen is open from 8.00am until the end of the school day. 

Students should be there only for a scheduled time and will not be served during class time or during the change of periods.

BREAK TIME

Our morning break (for all children) is from 10.00 - 10.30am. And the school serves them a healthy meal of porridge. The children are encouraged to snack on fresh fruit or vegetables if they are to carry their own snacks. We actively discourage sweets and chocolate as part of our responsibility to fitter, healthier children. 

LUNCH AND SUPPER 

The school serves boarding students a lunch and supper  meal of posho and beans, a diet rich in Proteins and carbohydrates. However day  students are allowed to pack their own lunch if they can but the school advises that the food is packed properly so the student doesn't consume spoiled food.

The school serves special meals on saturday and sunday or any special week day. Cunina Pupils get a special meal on Cunina Days normally when their God parents visit, during letter writing sessions and Cunina Guardian and career guidance day.

Prefects

We encourage our students to take on the mantle of leadership at a young age. Leadership comes with it some level of responsibility which in turn helps shape these young leaders' character. Promoting leadership in school is a great way to promote positive life skills learning in a way that it provides young people the ability to analyze their own strengths and weaknesses; to set personal and vocational goals; and to gain the self-esteem, confidence, motivation, and abilities to carry out those goals. It also provides these youngsters the ability to guide or direct others on a course of action, influence the opinions and behaviors of others and serve as role models.
